WHAT DOES A NOTARY PUBLIC DO?
The Notaries and Commissioners Act allows notaries in Alberta to do the following:
Administer oaths or take affidavits, affirmations or declarations and attest oaths, affidavits, affirmations or declarations;
Certify and attest a true copy of a document, and
Witness or certify and attest the execution of a document.
WHAT DOES A COMMISSIONER FOR OATHS DO?
The Notaries and Commissioners Act allows Commissioners for Oaths in Alberta to do the following:
Administer an oath,
Take or receive an affidavit, affirmation or declaration, or
Our office has a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths. We can notarize or commission your Affidavits or Statutory Declarations. If you require documents to be executed for use outside Alberta (for real estate sales or purchases or require an agent to witness execution of your documents), we can act on your behalf.
